Obviously, this is less than desirable, and I am eager to hear of any ideas anyone might have for how this might be resolved. Its probably a safe bet that DD-WRT is just sufficiently similar to stock firmware that Nmap sometimes cant tell the difference. Both results claim 100 accuracy, though the scan on the 3500 had a warning that OS Detection didnt resolve on the first try. After the restart, authorized users can connect and disconnect over RADIUS with no problems whatever, until the unauthorized user attempts again, and then all is dead once more until another reboot. The 6500 comes back as Linux 2.6.22 (embedded, ARM). My network sniffer reveals that, when an unauthorized user attempts a connect, the RADIUS server returns an Access-Reject(3) as expected, but then DD-WRT refuses to connect to the RADIUS server again, whether for authorized or unauthorized users until the WAP54G is restarted. The problem arises with users that have not been authorized on the RADIUS server (we're using NPS on Server 2008). reliably through DD-WRT and the RADIUS server. Authorized users are able to authenticate, disconnect, reauthenticate, &c. I'm using WPA2 Enterprise with the AES algorithm and a RADIUS server. The physical interface will be used for staff wireless access, and allow access into the whole of our LAN.Ĭonfiguration in all of those areas has gone well so far, but now I want to lock down access to the physical interface. We hope to use the virtual interface for free public wi-fi access, and use firewall scripts to block those users from seeing into the physical interface's subnet. The WAP54G is configured with two wireless interfaces, one physical and one virtual. We've been using it on another project at our organization for several years. I am running v24-sp2 on a Linksys WAP54G. Posted: Tue 21:05 Post subject: Linksys WAP54G Won't Connect to RADIUS Server After Failure ![]()
